It's Easter Sunday. Let us pray, in the words of our Convener.

As on this day a woman in a garden heard her own name spoken and found new life, may those whom we now name, Muriel and Stewart and ….. and …., hear their own names and find new life.

As on this day travellers on a road discovered they were not alone and found new life. May those with whom we journey, St Andrew’s Jerusalem and Tiberias and …. and ….., discover they are not alone and find new life.

As on this day frightened men in a locked room heard the words “Peace be with you” and found new life May those who now live in fear, Christians in the Middle East and hostages and prisoners and ….. and …., hear a word of peace and find new life.

In the name of the one who was raised from death to new life, and to bring new life.  Amen.
